1. AFPK® Certification:
   Applicants who have passed the AFPK certification examination, applied for AFPK certification, and paid the license fee, and who are, at the review of the Certification Committee, considered to have no reason for disqualification, can receive the AFPK certification.

2. CFP® Certification:
   Applicants who have a valid AFPK certification, have passed the CFP certification examination, applied for CFK certification, paid the license fee, and satisfy the practical experience requirements defined at FPSB Korea, and who are, at the review of the Certification Committee, considered to have no reason for disqualification, can receive the CFP certification.

Reasons for disqualification are cases in which the applicant for certification is the object of criminal punishment, or has received disciplinary action from a government organization, self-regulating organization of the industry, financial organization, special vocation execution organization, or the corporation or group the applicant belongs to. If an applicant corresponds to an above case, certification is suspended or canceled.

2. Mail application:
   After downloading and filling out <CFP/AFPK Certification Application Document> from FPSB Korea website, submit the document after transferring the license fee to FPSB Korea.

Acquisition of AFPK certification should be made within a maximum of 3 years after passing the AFPK certification examination. If applying for AFPK certification 12 months or more after passing the AFPK certification examination, AFPK certification can be received only after acquiring consecutive educational credits calculated based upon the time elapsed.

Consecutive educational credits are based upon the number of months elapsed, calculated at a rate of 0.83/credit of consecutive education per month (rounded to the nearest whole number).

Acquisition of CFP certification should be made within a maximum of 5 years after passing the CFP certification examination. AFPK certification should also be valid. In addition, if applying for CFP certification 12 months or more after passing the CFP certification examination, CFP certification can be received only after acquiring consecutive educational credits calculated based upon the time elapsed.

Consecutive educational credits are based upon the number of months elapsed, calculated at a rate of 1.25/credit of consecutive education per month (rounded to the nearest whole number.

1. The license fee for AFPK certification is 100,000 won and the certification is valid for 2 years from the month when certification and/or renewal are requested.
2. The license fee for CFP certification is 200,000 won and the certification is valid for 2 years from the month when certification and/or renewal are requested.
   • When CFP certification is validated, the license fee for AFPK certification is refunded after the remaining period of certification is calculated.

Work experience of a CFP certification applicant is admitted for cases within 10 years before or 5 years after the last day of the month when the CFP certification examination was passed. The following period requirements should also be met.

1. Higher than a bachelor's degree : 3 years
2. Associate degree : 4 years
3. Others : 5 years

When acquiring CFP certification, AFPK certification is automatically renewed.

The validity period of certification is 2 years from the issue date of certification, and a renewal of certification should be made before the validity period expires. A certification holder whose validity period has expired may not use the certification marks of CFP and AFPK (business cards, proposals, etc.) and is not considered as a valid CFP, AFPK certification holder.
