| Among the CFP certification exam candidates, the following people are exempt from the requirement of completing the educational curriculum: |
| Registered Certified Public Accountant |
| Registered Certified Financial Analysit (the "CFA") |
| Registered Attorney at Law |
| Registered Tax Specialist |
| Doctor of Business Administration |
| Doctor of Economics |
| Doctor of Consumer Economics (specialized in financial planning) |
|
- A professional license or degree as described above is certified by FPSB International member countries including certification institutions and universities in Korea and the USA; if the corresponding institution submits the confirmation, the applicant concerned can take the CFP certification exam without completing the CFP curriculum, regardless of whether or not he/she has AFPK® certification.

- Note, however, that the corresponding institution’s written confirmation should be issued within 3 months of the application date. Whether the corresponding person’s certification and academic degree, or successful certification exam results, are valid, and whether the person has been a subject of disciplinary action, should be indicated.
